LMX1 — 7×9 LED Matrix
One perfect pixel. Multiplied by a thousand.
The 7×9 RGB module you chain to build displays of any width.
Who is it for?
- Makers and developers who want LED text and images without fighting the wiring.
- Builders of signs, marquees and wall clocks.
- Pixel-art artists who need real density and color.
The problem
The problem with ordinary LED matrices
- They're large, low-density and look blocky from a meter away.
- Chaining them is a nest of wires and fragile solder joints.
- Every maker has its own protocol; you rewrite the code on every project.
The solution
The LMX1 solution
- A compact 7×9 module of addressable RGB pixels with fine pitch: crisp up close and far away.
- Built to chain horizontally: add modules and the canvas grows by itself.
- A single data wire and our WuaDisplay-LMX library: the same code drives 1 or 100 modules.

What makes it special
Chain without limits
Chain modules and your canvas grows: (7·N) × 9 pixels. As wide as your idea.
Every pixel, its color
RGB LEDs addressed one by one over a single data wire. Animations, text and gradients across 16 million colors.
FastLED-ready
Works with FastLED and our WuaDisplay-LMX library: text, scroll and effects from a single API.

In detail
LMX1 is the 7×9 RGB LED matrix we use as the foundation of our own displays (including WuaDisplay). Each module packs 63 addressable SK6805-EC15 LEDs you drive with FastLED or the WuaDisplay-LMX library. Chain them left and right to form a logical canvas of (7·N) × 9 pixels and show text, clocks, marquees or pixel art in full color.
